You may not be worried about recruiting as your firm crawls out of the Great Recession. If not, you’re in the minority. Robert Half tells us 45% of all employees have their resume out. And those resumes, according to the December 2010 issue of HR Magazine are being found by recruiters (and HR professionals) using LinkedIn (78%), Facebook (55%) and Twitter (45%).
So if you’re finding that turnover is an issue in your firm, fish where the fish are. Take your recruiting efforts online to social media. It’s now “mainstream.” Is your website engaging the reader? Does your website reflect this generation’s behavioral patterns? Your future is not just the next client. It’s your next hire.
