Site of the Week: Box.net
Posted on June 30, 2011 at 9:30 am

Box.net is a simple and straightforward way to manage your documents online. While their main website does a solid job at explaining how their services work, it may be worth your time to check out their YouTube page.
We like how they use YouTube’s most salient features and custom branding to good effect. By using YouTube’s playlist feature to house a variety of videos covering different topics such as new features, customer stories and how-to’s, visitors are quickly directed to content that interests them. Similar to a music playlist, videos will continue to run until the playlist is complete, which helps prevent searching for similar videos or clicking back within the page to start another video.
It’s perfectly acceptable to use another service to host some of your website’s content, like photos or video. Considering that folks can find you online through many other means, it’s best to make use of all the service’s features to your strategic advantage.
