Case Study: Sterne Kessler Goldstein Fox
Project Details
the scientific method goes to market
Science and engineering drive our long-time client Sterne Kessler. That’s why we chose the rigor of the six-step scientific method as the organizing theme for the intellectual property firm’s website, firm brochure and trade show booth. For you non-scientists, the scientific method is a way to ask and answer scientific questions by making observations and doing experiments.
Combined with a decidedly, well, scientific and memorable visual style, the integrated campaign positioned the firm as scientist-lawyers who blend subject matter expertise to secure patents and trademarks and help their owners maximize the value of their assets.
On the website, content wass presented in innovative ways, such as the use of the periodic table of elements to highlight key practice areas. Similarly, a mind + muscle illustration wass the centerpiece of a completely redesigned trade show booth. The companion t-shirt was for the not-so-buttoned-up lawyers of Sterne Kessler to wear and give to clients.
Each “chapter” of the brochure led with one of the steps from the scientific method. We wove firm credentials and the benefits of working with Sterne Kessler into each step. Example: Step One—Define the question [because the first step to success is asking the right questions]. Boldly told client case studies are included throughout the piece to give proof to the proposition.
