Responsibilities:
Integrates XHTML/CSS templates with database information. Maintains GB Development and Client servers. Produces PHP code to retrieve appropriate information from the database. Generates XML from database information for Flash. Delivers error free code. Responsible for server maintenance by moving projects to client staging and live environments and ensuring all required software is installed on client server. Troubleshoots client problems. Responsible for education of web team by establishing back-end coding standards, improving the development process, keeping web team up-to-date with latest development methods and researching development tools and technologies. Builds XHTML/CSS templates to match designs. Produces JavaScript to match design functionality and improve the user experience. Integrates XHTML/CSS templates with MySQL database information. Trains team members on web technologies: CSS, XML, Ajax, etc. Responsible for QA of web sites by participating in design reviews and fixing bugs on web projects. Responsible for server maintenance by moving projects to client staging and live environments and updating server information sheet.
Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Web development and LAMP server environment preferred. 7 years experience in production of Web sites and system administration.
All in an Agile Scrum environment.
Skills Required
Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office suite familiarity necessary. Advanced knowledge in XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL (MySQL) W3C standards. Must have problem solving skills and interface design skills. Must have knowledge of the latest developments in Web technology. Unix admin skills.

We need a designer with solid experience branding for professional services firms to create, develop and extend the brands of our clients through identity, advertising, print collateral, websites and other multimedia strategies. You must be able to follow designs through from concept to completion. You will have to juggle various projects and deal with tight deadlines on high-end marketing materials. This position will involve proactive problem-solving (conceptualization and strategic thinking) and working with complex design projects and issues. You must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, but still able to take direction and work in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
• Works with Account Executives and Principals to learn client expectations and develop project direction. Leads the development of concepts that creatively delivers the client’s brand message and appeals to smart buyers of professional services.
• Carries print projects through from initial concept to completion, which can include developing several concepts, making revisions and overseeing the production process.
• Designs websites that reflect the client’s strategy and brand message. Creates unique features, functions and solves usability challenges.
• Maintains quality control of each project as it passes through various stages (i.e. production department, print production, web development, etc.).
• Understands the possibilities and restrictions associated with designing for many varied mediums (ie, print, advertising, web, etc).
• Hires and directs additional external personnel involved on projects, including photographers and illustrators.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
5+ years work experience designing for print and web. BA and/or Masters with an emphasis in graphic design. Proficiency in Adobe CS4 and Acrobat a must. Familiarity with Fireworks preferred. You must be highly skilled in aspects of concepting, typography, imagery, color and layout. Must have a strong knowledge of web standards, usability, functionality and development limitations. You should understand the basics of designing for CSS/HTML.
